- Rated 5 out of 5by aptharsia, 4 years agoI use this with Image Picka to download images automatically with a custom page title. Such a time saver! Thank you!
- Rated 5 out of 5by Zodiiak, 4 years agoIt's easy to use and does what it's supposed to. I only wish that I could hide the context menu entry.
- Rated 5 out of 5by NJ, 4 years agoIt's has context menu option and can rename tab exactly what I want for 3 months ago! I like the context menu because of that I not really need thinking where I will put the extension button. I more like it to be hidden from the toolbar.
btw I'm from other extension that I accidently almost add it but I read a comment that say this extensions is great and I bealive it, so thx~ - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12702177, 4 years agoLets me retitle tabs. Does exactly what I need it to. No complaints.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Mark, 5 years agoThis works well once I figured out how to do a Regex to remove a specific annoying phrase that Amazon inserts at the beginning of every page Title. I don't like that because it messes up the default name of my bookmarks.
Here's the regex I used: /AmazonSmile: (.{1,45}).*/$1/
This removes the literal phrase "AmazonSmile: " from the beginning of any page title on smile.amazon.com. It removes the first phrase and then inserts the rest of the title but only up to 45 characters in length. If the original title is longer, it truncates the rest. I found a Regex testing site that helped me figure this out. https://regex101.com/r/vMzP9d/6 - Rated 5 out of 5by Mike, 5 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14328529, 5 years agoI'm keeping a lot of similar tabs across reboots (organizing them using TreeStyleTabs). Tons of Slack, Mail client tabs, ... without meaningful title prefixes. I'm now using your extensions for assigning titles specific to URL prefix (thanks to your beta regex matching). My brain feels so relieved.
Kind of cumbersome to put in place, but the best option so far!
Would definitely appreciate the ability to modify/add regex more easily, but this is already so useful.
Thank you a lot! - Rated 5 out of 5by TwoCables, 5 years agoWow. I was using 'Tab Mix - Rename Tab' before, but Tab ReTitle is far better.
Unlike 'Tab Mix - Rename Tab', I can assign a tab title to any URL. So that means I can open a new tab to that URL and it gets my custom title. I can also go to that URL within a tab and it gets my custom title. I can go Back or Forward to that URL within a tab and it gets my custom title. It's also persistent across sessions. So this completely solves the problem for me of how the YouTube history page just gets titled, "YouTube" instead of "History - YouTube".
Unlike 'Tab Mix - Rename Tab', the titles of YouTube videos aren't always automatically renamed to just 'YouTube". With 'Tab ReTitle', the video titles show as expected without me having to change any settings. It just stays out of Firefox's way (unlike 'Tab Mix - Rename Tab')!
There are a few other instances where the title never showed the way I wanted it to show, and 'Tab Mix - Rename Tab' couldn't help because it was just for that tab only and if I closed it, that was it, it was gone. Going to other pages in that tab meant the title doesn't change because I had simply renamed that tab. With Tab ReTitle, everything is exactly as it should be. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13873326, 5 years ago

posted 5 years agoThanks. I'm actually thinking of making another plugin for changing favicons easily as well. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14343446, 6 years ago
