TabTint respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.
DATA COLLECTION:
TabTint does NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data or browsing information. All color preferences and rules are stored locally on your device using Firefox's built-in storage API (browser.storage.sync and browser.storage.session).
WHAT IS STORED LOCALLY:
- Color rules you create (domain patterns and associated colors)
- Temporary tab colors (only during your browser session)
This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third parties.
PERMISSIONS:
TabTint requires the following permissions to function:
- "tabs": To detect tab URL changes and apply color rules
- "storage": To save your color preferences locally on your device
- "activeTab": To interact with the current tab when you apply colors
- "<all_urls>": To inject visual color indicators on any webpage you choose
NO ANALYTICS OR TRACKING:
TabTint does not use any analytics, tracking, or third-party services.
