VPN Gate Privacy Policy

VPN Gate is a browser extension. It blocks a matched college website when your public IP address is in India.

Information the extension uses

• Public IP address and country. VPN Gate requests this from https://ipwho.is/ so it can tell whether the connection is in India.
• Website hostname. On a page you open, VPN Gate sends the site hostname to https://kdptech.us/ to check whether that site is in the college database.
• Public key. You enter this key. VPN Gate sends it to https://kdptech.us/ with the hostname check, and saves it in this browser until you remove the extension or the key is rejected.

What is not collected

VPN Gate does not ask for your name, email address, or account password. It does not sell or rent the information above. It does not include an advertising or analytics service.
