Temporary Tab Container by sagitta

by AnneF, 2 years agoGreat Idea, (especially the idea of automatically opening an unassigned tab in a temp container instead of no container (or forcing you to choose a container every time)) EXCEPT for keeping the container after you have closed the tab for which it was created. Why?? I don't want to see 15 containers that hold data for non-existent tabs that have been closed!
If each new tab has it's own container, then if you close the tab, why would you keep it's data container around to clutter things up?
If it's for some "compatibility" with OTHER tab add-ons and is kept for that purpose, could you do one for the rest of us, that deletes the container when you delete it's tab? Or perhaps provide an optional default setting that does that (instead of keeping piles of temp containers hanging around all day)?
This would be a GREAT add-on if it closed and emptied the container when you closed the tab for which it was created. Thanks, AnneF

And this add-on is the more lightweight one among other similar temporary container add-ons.
I'm a browser performance focused user. And I don't need too much options. I just want to open every tab in a different temporary container... that's all. And this add-on is the right shoe for my feet... just perfect, it does exactly what I need (and with a low consume of RAM, CPU etc).
Even better, this add-on will delete every temporary container not just when a tab is closed, but also when the browser session ends. So at every browser startup you always are going to have new temporary containers for your tabs.
I've been using this add-on for a few months, and always worked like a charm. Also, every time I contacted the Dev, always he was responsive and answered my requests and questions.
The Dev is currently working trying to include a function that will allow tab-manager add-ons to use temporary containers. This add-on already works perfectly with tab-manager add-ons that hide/discard tabs. The Dev will now try to focus on tab-manager add-ons that use the method of closing tabs or transforming tabs into bookmarks.
My thanks to the Dev! And congrats!
