by grahamperrin, 5 years agoCan you change the name of the extension to match the name (Text 2 Speech (TTS)) that's stated here at AMO?
The inconsistent naming leads to confusion when this extension is installed alongside the Text to Speech (TTS) extension that predated yours.
Thanks.

Thank you to the developer! - Rated 1 out of 5by Nihil Adest, 2 years agointeresting concept since it allows you to download an mp3 file of the audio. problem is to access the tts you have to right click and it'll show it below. No popup or automatic thing when you click on the button on the top page. And worse than anything else really, there are no speed options or pitch options, you just choose the voice and that's it.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 17078900, 3 years agoI've tried a bunch of other text-to-speech extensions and wound up removing them after they sounded grating and robotic, or they wanted to monetize me. This is a wonderful extension that more people should know about and use.
I wish it had female voice and one time when I went to highlight a large block of text on a web page, it spun and spun and didn't produce any audio. In the meantime, I've just been highlighting smaller sub-sections. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16602293, 4 years agoWorks as advertised. Enter or copy/paste text, save or play mp3 file. No gimmicks.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14595649, 6 years agoFor today it's the good solution for those, who have tired to hear metallic voice without any intonation and attention to commas or dots. The first male voice for English is better (IMHO).

- Rated 3 out of 5by sudowtf, 7 years agoIt always outputs "No text selected, please select some text and try again". What Service does this use?
