- Rated 4 out of 5by Manu, a year agoIt will be perfect if you can add the translation of word in phonetic alphabet , otherwise thank you very much for your work !
- Rated 1 out of 5by Israel Roldan, 2 years agoBasically, it does nothing. I think that it didn't install the voices because the select combo is blank. I am on Firefox – Arch Linux – Kernel 6.1.12 – x86_64.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Nihil Adest, 2 years agoI think it does an ok job at what it supposed to do, I'm glad its not a pop up window that'll go away as soon as you click off. I will say though, something this app is severely missing is, 1: more voices, and 2: more options for the voice, so like speed rate, etc. I like to speed my tts a lot and this app doesn't have the amount of speed I'd like.

posted 4 years agoHi there,
Thanks for reporting my typo in add-on permissions management ... I removed the unnecessary ones since v1.5.2. Sorry for the inconvenience

- Rated 3 out of 5by Andre Bell, 7 years agoIt works. Good job for creating a working TTS. But this is not what I'm looking for. This requires cut and pasting into a sidebar context box. I am seeking a full page TTS reader that does not require cut and pasting sentences, paragraphs, or entire sections of pages. Thanks though.
- Rated 1 out of 5by KasunL, 7 years agoAdditional TTS voices are not available, only voices in the machine. A TTS software like Balabolka with some voice engines (ex. IVONA) installed is the way to go for people who are serious about TTSs, not this.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13542505, 7 years agoThe Firefox Extension has only two Microsoft electronic voices. The explanation for the app provides a list of other voices that are available but does not provide any explanation about how to add those voices.
Because of vision problems, I need text to voice and I am used to just playing the highlighted text without having to copy and paste it. I do like the play, pause, resume and stop buttons - those could be just the universal symbols for those commands. It is annoying to have to delete the text once it has been spoken - it seem like that should be automatic.
