About this extension
Dark mode and handcrafted themes for the whole of Codeforces: problem statements, standings, status, contests, profiles, blogs and the problemset. Theme Studio is a Codeforces theme extension that modernises the site without moving anything: one clean typeface, sticky table headers, verdict pills, and rating colours that keep their meaning.
Switch looks in all open tabs, no reload needed. Off brings back exactly the stock page.
Made for competitive programmers who practise daily, sit rated rounds, and want a dark theme or simply a nicer place to read a statement.
FOUR THEMES
• Midnight: calm and dark, no picture.
• Anime Studio: 18 anime scenes, a different arc for each difficulty, or your own picture.
• Pixel Art: an 8-bit arcade world.
• Vintage Paper: a newspaper of cream sheets on a walnut desk, a warm light look.
RATING COLOURS YOU CAN STILL READ
Newbie grey to Legendary red keep their hue in all four. Each shade is checked for contrast on the real page, so a red handle is as readable as body text.
A GUIDED LAYOUT (OR KEEP CODEFORCES' OWN)
• Division badges say who a round is for: Div. 4 Beginner, Div. 3 Easy, Div. 2 Intermediate, Div. 1 Advanced.
• Problem ratings carry a word: Easy, Medium, Hard, with quick filters.
• The next round as a card with a big countdown and one Register button.
• Solved and tried problems marked on the problemset when you're signed in.
• Prefer the original arrangement? Compact keeps all positions and only changes the look. During a running contest the page is always Compact.
EVERY SUBMISSION IS A FIGHT
• Anime Studio: a VS screen for unsolved problems, a combo counter while the judge runs test N, a finisher on Accepted, time stop on TLE, and a screen shatter on a failed system test.
• Pixel Art: ROUND 1 FIGHT!, K.O.! on Accepted, PERFECT! on a first try, CONTINUE? on a wrong answer.
• Vintage Paper: EXTRA! EXTRA! a front page for an Accepted, a CORRECTION slip for a wrong answer.
• Level up: when a contest raises your rank, a moment in the new rank colour and a card to share.
• Each moment is short, skippable with any key, silent if you like, and a still frame with reduced motion. Nothing plays in a live contest unless you turn it on.
ANIME STUDIO: ANY PICTURE AS YOUR BACKGROUND
• Scenes from train windows to moonlit shrines and dragons, one per difficulty, or add an image of yours.
• The glass over the art is solved for each picture, so tables and statements stay readable.
• Japanese text in the moments can be switched to English.
FAST AND PRIVATE
• Scrolling large standings was measured against the stock site.
• No account, no analytics, no servers. Settings and pictures stay in the browser.
• Two requests, both only when you are signed in and only about you: your rating history from the official API (at most every 6 hours, for the level-up moment), and, when a verdict gets stuck on "Running", your latest submissions until the verdict is in.
• Works in English and Russian, on Gym pages too.
