UPD: I checked it on the plugin page and it doesn't work here. But if open other pages (not empty one) it works. And as I see now it shows only on the page you run it :(Developer response
posted 3 years agoI don't have a Mac to test it on, but that would surprise me since it's just HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
The addon adds some HTML and JavaScript to the web page that is being displayed. So it only works when a web page is open. It doesn't work on a blank tab, on about:addons or any other tab that doesn't contain a real web page. Moreover, its function may theoretically depend on the specific web page that is being displayed.
Are you trying to run it on an open web page? If yes, please try it on another one, if no, please open a web page first.
Best, Stefan
Update: Sure, it only runs on the page where it was launched. I'm not sure if it would even be possible to build an add-on that would run it on all tabs simultaneously. - Rated 5 out of 5by MikeGrace, 3 years agoLove the simplicity and focus of this extension. Exactly what we needed as a team.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Max1234-ITA, 4 years agoThe idea is really interesting, useful, i.e. to put a visible time limit when conducting online meetings.
Unfortunately, when I click Start Timer, the timer won't start. Hope this can be fixed.
Firefox 87.0, 64-bit.
Edit: The issue seems to be disappeared after restarting Firefox.
I'll post a ticket to GitHub, should it come up again.
Thanks for your reply!Developer response
posted 4 years agoHi Max1234-ITA, thanks for your review.
I've been using the addon myself every working day for months. So it definitely works with all versions of Firefox from that time.
The addon adds some HTML and JavaScript to the webpage which is currently shown. So its only working, if there is a webpage open. It does not work on a empty tab, on about:addons or any other tab which contain no webpage. Moreover, its function may theoretically be dependent from the concrete webpage which is shown.
Please try the addon again on another webpage and report a issue in GitHub (https://github.com/limes007/timebox-timer), if you have found a webpage, on which the addon doesn't work or still problems using the addon.
Best, Stefan
