Privacy policy for Temp Mail - Disposable Email by Tmailor
Temp Mail - Disposable Email by Tmailor by Tmailor.com
Tmailor Temp Mail extension privacy policy (Firefox)
This policy explains what the Tmailor Temp Mail add-on stores, what it sends to Tmailor, and what it never collects. The general Tmailor privacy policy (https://tmailor.com/privacy-policy.html) also applies.
What the add-on stores on your device
Your temporary addresses and the keys needed to open their inboxes, your sign-in session if you connect a Tmailor account, and your settings. This data stays in the add-on's storage in your browser and is removed when you uninstall the add-on. Because the add-on stays in sync with tmailor.com, the same addresses and sign-in are also kept by tmailor.com in this browser's site storage; that copy is managed by the website and is not removed when you uninstall the add-on. Clear all in the settings deletes the addresses kept on this device (also on Tmailor), signs you out here and on tmailor.com, and removes the add-on data on this device; addresses saved to your Tmailor account stay in your account.
Sync with tmailor.com
On tmailor.com pages the add-on reads and updates the website's own storage for your current address, your list of addresses and your sign-in, so the add-on and the website show the same address and the same account. If you are signed in on tmailor.com, the add-on signs in with the same account automatically. If you disconnect this browser from your account page, the add-on stays signed out until you sign in again. Signing out in the add-on also signs you out on tmailor.com, and the other way around. When you are signed in, the popup shows your account picture, which is loaded from Google without sending a referrer.
What the add-on sends to Tmailor
Requests to create, check and delete your temporary addresses, and to sign in and stay signed in. Each request includes the browser name and add-on version so we can keep it working. While the browser is open, the add-on keeps one connection to wss.tmailor.com to learn about new emails for your current address. Our servers see your IP address: we use it to limit abuse, and we keep the approximate country of each browser you connect so you can recognize it on your account page. We do not send the pages you visit, the sites where you use an address, or anything you type into other fields. The Firefox version does not send install or usage signals. If you uninstall the add-on, your browser opens a short page on tmailor.com that asks why; answering is optional, and we receive only the reason you picked and the add-on version.
Access to web pages
Outside tmailor.com, the add-on looks at a page only when you ask it to fill an email field (right-click menu or keyboard shortcut), and it fills only the field you chose.
Emails and ads
Emails are read on tmailor.com. The popup shows only the sender and the subject. The add-on itself shows no ads. tmailor.com pages, including the page where you read an email, show Google ads to keep the service free; the add-on does not send its data, your sign-in or your emails to advertisers.
Sharing
We do not sell your data, and we use it only to run Tmailor. We share data only with providers that run the service for us, such as Cloudflare (hosting, security and the human verification page). Ads on tmailor.com pages are provided by Google, which may use cookies on those pages under its own policies.
Your choices
You can delete any address from the popup, turn off alerts in the add-on settings, disconnect a browser from your account page, and delete your addresses and add-on data with Clear all.
