TRASA Browser Extension is a helper agent for TRASA platform. TRASA is open source and self hostable zero trust access control platform that grants access to protect service based on credentials, security risk, and security hygiene of user devices. To achieve these features, this extension collects two types of data from its users:

(1) Details of browser and OS in which this extension will be installed. This data will be used to control access to protected services based on the user device's security hygiene. An example policy to block access includes "block access to the application if browser version is below version 45", "block access if the os is windows XP."

(2) Based on the "session recording" policy (set by the administrator of TRASA), this extension will also record the screenshot of user actions on the website protected by TRASA as part of privileged access monitoring features. These screenshots will then be sent to TRASA server and viewed by the administrator as a video. This helps administrators find malicious actions taken by users in protected web services.

All the above data are collected and sent to TRASA server. TRASA servers are managed and hosted by IT administrators of the organization of which users of this extension are part of. Collected data are stored on the said organization owned servers.

The maker of this extension does not store any data collected above. All of the data are only collected if the user of this extension wishes to register the extension to TRASA server. The data are not shared with any other 3rd party services.
