Due to current limitations with WebExtensions (in Firefox 57.0.2), this add-on can't remove tabs from the top of the screen, so the user has to do this themselves by modifying their userChrome.css file. There is a post on the Firefox subreddit detailing how to do this, but I would like to see this guide included or referenced in the options page until such functionality can be added to the WebExtensions API: https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/736cji/how_to_hide_native_tabs_in_firefox_57_tree_style/
Caveats aside, Tree Style Tab is still an exceptional organizational tool for anyone who has a habit of opening new tabs for everything. With the tree organization, you always know which tab opened from or is related to which other tab, and the options for how you want the tabs to behave are extensive. The only faults I can find have to do with limitations of the new add-on engine, so I can't think of any reason to deduct stars. Great add-on, essential to how I navigate the web.

- Rated 1 out of 5by thingthing, 14 days agoit would be five stars if it didnt totally eat up my ram, it actually burned and finished off two of my laptops.
when i finally could get a new computer i read up online what others experiences were, and yea many people had experienced the wild ram issues too, for which the creator had posted solutions.
so, i tried the "solutions". nope it didnt work, so i didnt wanna burn or harm my new computer and promptly uninstalled. not worth it.
it was truly excellent though for organizing stuff and for my audhd self, but it will very likely come at the cost of your hardware.
and yea it got gradually worse the more tabs i stashed. didnt matter if they were just in folders and "not running" because no yea they still did somehow.
really really really unfortunate!! i hope this is something that will work in the future.
giving a two because it really really was very nice organizing even if it cost me badly in the end...
downloader beware!!!!!
edit: nah fuck this, switching to one star so people more likely can even see the fuckery when they press reviews - Rated 5 out of 5by gsw945, 16 days agoVery good, a lot of tabs can be located faster, the same tabs open pages are also organized together!

- Rated 2 out of 5by Julien, 17 days agoThis extension makes Firefox dreadfully slow. I just removed it and it feels like breathing again.
The tool looked promising, but it really makes web surfing extremely difficult, sometimes impossible: some blogs became simply impossible to show. Also, a lot of swapping occured when using that tool, so I guess it uses way too much memory.
I am back for good to the simple vertical panel Firefox provides. - Rated 5 out of 5by Jan Klass, 17 days agoGreat for managing tabs and tasks and research and group them and…

- Rated 5 out of 5by Tblue, a month agoI can't live without this add-on. This is an essential Firefox add-on for me. Great job!
Only drawback: It makes it very easy to have too many tabs open. :-) - Rated 5 out of 5by 解体中共救中国, a month ago
