Tree Style Tab by Piro (piro_or)

by Fire it up, 7 years agoUpdated Review: The recent update a day ago resulted in the add-in being unable to load. Agreed, I have a lot of tabs open (approaching 90), but I have plenty of memory and that's why I use this Add-in.
In fact, its why I use FireFox.
Reinstalled v 3.9.22
_______
Been using this for 10 years. My 5 * review from 7 years ago is below.
Please continue supporting this for FF57. It shows up in my FF56 still as being a legacy extension. Like lot of others, it's the reason I use FF. I like being able to drag a group off-pane and creating a new FF window with these tabs present.
My main suggestion for improvement though would be for the new Tabs to appear at the bottom of the list, not as children of a current tab. Swap the current Cntl Click function to creating tabs as child tabs.
It would also be nice if the currently active Tab changed colour to something bright and in yer face. I'm often on screens and lose track of which tab it is from when I wish to close the screen.

Great that this was noted 2 days ago (issue #3726 on the support pages) as an "enhancement" in triage. Hopefully its a top priority! It says "collapse the side bar manually" but everytime I do that TST also closes? - Rated 5 out of 5by beaMNode, 5 days ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by Vishal, 10 days agoOverall a good idea. But some basic features are missing like minimizing and expansion of sidebar. Tried with CSS, but the experience not yet smooth. Additionally also has stability issues - sometimes keeps loading and the only way to make it work is to exit firefox and reopen

- Rated 4 out of 5by few, 13 days agoThis is so great, but it could be much better if you could rename the trees for better organization, just like the folders in Google Chrome or Brave. I found this extension almost perfect, the only thing missing is that it's very easy to get lost without opening a search tab to be the "father" of the tree, for example, opening a search on Google and for emails, and inside the tree, put the emails that I use both personally and for work.

- Rated 1 out of 5by thingthing, a month agoit would be five stars if it didnt totally eat up my ram, it actually burned and finished off two of my laptops.
when i finally could get a new computer i read up online what others experiences were, and yea many people had experienced the wild ram issues too, for which the creator had posted solutions.
so, i tried the "solutions". nope it didnt work, so i didnt wanna burn or harm my new computer and promptly uninstalled. not worth it.
it was truly excellent though for organizing stuff and for my audhd self, but it will very likely come at the cost of your hardware.
and yea it got gradually worse the more tabs i stashed. didnt matter if they were just in folders and "not running" because no yea they still did somehow.
really really really unfortunate!! i hope this is something that will work in the future.
giving a two because it really really was very nice organizing even if it cost me badly in the end...
downloader beware!!!!!
edit: nah fuck this, switching to one star so people more likely can even see the fuckery when they press reviews - Rated 5 out of 5by gsw945, a month agoVery good, a lot of tabs can be located faster, the same tabs open pages are also organized together!
