Trim Copy ("the Extension") is designed to trim leading/trailing whitespace from user-selected text and copy the cleaned text to the clipboard after the user clicks the extension button.
1. Data Collection
Trim Copy does not collect, store, sell, or share personal data.
2. How the Extension Works
- The Extension runs only after user action (clicking the extension button).
- It reads only the text the user has selected on the current page.
- It trims leading and trailing whitespace from that selected text.
- It writes the cleaned text to the system clipboard.
3. Data Transmission
Trim Copy does not send data to external servers.
No analytics, tracking, or remote logging is used.
4. Data Storage
Trim Copy does not store user content or personal data locally or remotely.
5. Permissions Used
activeTab: temporary access to the currently active tab after user click.scripting: executes trim-and-copy logic in the current tab after user action.
6. Third-Party Services
Trim Copy does not use third-party services to process user data.
7. Children's Privacy
Trim Copy is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be reflected with a new effective date.
