Make themes with other color accents based on this one! - Rated 5 out of 5by Bikelink, a year agoHey thank you DeeLoy I spent a long time to find "this" theme which I love and THEN to figure out HOW to rate themes wow! 1) Boom this is a great theme...I was looking for something aesthetically pleasing (or not bad and neutral can be bad) AND no one seemed to do what you do here which to me is the KILLER "app" / point / etc to making a theme (I can talk like this since I don't/haven't made one myself! LOL): YOU MADE ONE THAT WORKS WITH THE ACTUAL INTERFACE RATHER THAN DISTRACT FROM IT. And it's aesthetically cool. Most themes seem to fall into two categories: simple ones with different colors for url box etc vs background, or "distracting" in some way. While there's things I love I don't wish for them to interfere wtih my USE of the space up there. THIS theme has a "fun" lil neon Firefox (wasn't looking for the fox but nice doesn't feel either distracting or random maybe?) and the way you integrated the green neon so it HIGHLIGHTS things in a functionally useful way while looking "nice"? I'm looking at the theme as I type this and realized I also need SOME texture like this ones subtle (SUBTLE THANK YOU?) dark/light grey angled stripes that are just enough to keep that "what's over there?" part of one's brain distracted while the concious working part is focused on your excellently highlighted functional use of "neon" green. Saw your note on using dark WITH the theme cool. I have a suggestion...wait for it...hey, could you do MORE themes that have a gentle texture and are functionally effective while blending not-too-complicated elements? That sounds more complicated than it is. I'm giving 5 starts because so far this is the ONLY theme (and I went hunting) I found today that "OK I can do this one" .. it's very good...like, I can imagine there are other textures and colors I'd like better, but 5 starts until those come out (pump these out please!) since I'll repeat: this is the ONLY theme I could find today (and yeah writing a book but on topic because ... that) that is even acceptable I realized. Which is awesome.
Then, Mozilla, it took me a half hour to figure out where to RATE themes. The answer is it's sneaky hiding in plain sight but couldn't tap the right place it's in a archived thread that surely they won't let me post the link for but will try...if the link doesn't come through, it's on support mozilla page where there's a /questions then another slash and this #: 1367811. Which, means that the ratings and how many ratings even aren't super meaningful and/or are biased but can look by users (which I did) ... but had to stumble to find this ... glad I took the time to do so and again, thank you for your work! - Rated 5 out of 5by Breadstin, a year ago
