- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13542370, 7 years agoA wonderful addon that gives the user (almost) complete control over what a website can and cannot access. Suitable for all levels of individual web experience, with access to the many predefined filter lists that are available, covering potential national, regional and worldwide security risks, as well as the ability to block, allow or ignore the majority of third-party items any website you visit may want to access without your consent. Even the advanced features can be used at varying degrees of knowledge depth and all rules can be set temporarily or permanently for individual web pages, the whole site or across all sites you may visit, knowingly or not. While not claiming to be a replacement for the many advanced ad and script blockers out there, uBO is very competent and can easily stand above the majority in the fight against trackers, personal information collection and general bad practices still used by far too many websites.
