- Rated 4 out of 5by Sperry, 8 years agoUBlock has been working very well until recently on Ebay. I cannot sign in or search properly on Ebay. I googled and found that Ublock is causing the problem. I disabled Ublock and Ebay works properly. See https://community.ebay.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Ebay-not-working-well-the-latest-Firefox-Update/m-p/27595939#M33358
- Rated 5 out of 5by M, 8 years agoI have been needing a pop-up blocker for years. The websites I am referring to are the anime websites where I stream anime. uBlock Origin blocks all my pop-ups and I'm super happy! I also have Kaspersky Internet Protection, which blocks the ads on the pages I'm visiting, but doesn't block pop-ups when I click on links/hosts/website/anime/episodes (forgive me if I identify incorrect names). I also have block pop-ups defaulted on Mozilla, but that doesn't block my pop-ups on the anime websites.
I just downloaded it today, but I see the big difference and I'm super happy that I don't have to keep closing down multiple (and sometimes inappropriate) pop-up windows. - Rated 5 out of 5by Yojji, 8 years agoA lot of ad blockers allow users to write their own rule sets, but UBlock's "Block Element" feature writes the rule for you - just select the element you want to block. Cakewalk. It's so easy, you can use it frivolously to do stuff like eliminating the ugly photo of a despicable politician in an article you want to read.
Oh, and it blocks ads just fine too. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13347193, 8 years ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by soulrebelno1, 8 years agoI had problems with pages not displaying properly. Text on buttons would disappear. On YouTube, in my comment section the text turned to dark grey and became impossible to read because I'm using the new Dark theme. It removes the ad above the 'Up Next' video column but then leaves a blank space. Took awhile but traced it to this add-on. Uninstalled.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13341036, 8 years agoOne of the most essential and best addons out there. But, the newest developer version suddenly stopped working in 56.0. I don't know why, it just suddenly disappeared. It might be really buggy at the moment but this never happened before. It doesn't show up as an icon in the menu, either. I've tried disabling/reenabling and resinstalling the addon. uBlock could definitely use an update.
Edit: Restarted firefox completely and it came back. Nonetheless confirms that it can crash itself within the browser and requires a browser restart. It's buggy, but at least it works great. Cheers to the guy who made this and here's to hoping they update it to fit in with 56.0. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13340413, 8 years ago
