Area Switcher 0.13.0

• A new look shared by the whole family: the four areas as large buttons with their tab count, the tab overview as one list, X as one row with a lock, moving as a switch. Settings (edge rail, palette, PIN, explanations) take the popup's place while they are open.
• New tab overview in the popup: every tab of the window grouped by workspace. A click goes to the tab and switches workspace on the way; × closes it. While X is locked only the number of X tabs is shown.
• Open it from the toolbar button or with Ctrl+Shift+5.
• The privacy test environment (T) and its macOS helper have been removed. A helper installed earlier is no longer used and can be deleted.
• New "tabs" permission: tab titles and addresses are read locally for the overview only.

Area Switcher 0.12.1

• Stable rail dimensions across page zoom levels, page styles and scrollbar changes, with scrollable controls in short windows.
• PIN input survives state updates; retry delays are explained and PIN length is consistently 1–64 characters.

To reopen the macOS test environment after Firefox exits, update the separately installed helper to v2. It correctly handles persistent lock files; the add-on update does not replace the helper.

• On macOS, T can launch a separate Firefox environment for privacy audits.
• The active HTTP/HTTPS page can be opened directly in the test profile.
• A new status and FAQ page explains the one-time helper setup and diagnostic settings.
• Existing workspaces remain fully usable when the helper is absent.

The macOS helper is installed separately and does not modify the normal Firefox profile.

Area Switcher 0.10.1

• The extension is now called Area Switcher (previously Umgebung Switcher). The catalogue address stays the same.
• The popup and the edge rail use the same colours as the other extensions in this family.
• The popup no longer shows unnecessary scrollbars: Settings starts collapsed, and the content reflows if scrolling is ever needed.
• The edge rail marks workspaces with the same colours the popup uses.

Workspaces, settings and the PIN are preserved.
