About this extension
Shops show a price per ounce or per count, but almost none let you sort by it, and many get it wrong. Unit Price Lens reads the search results you're looking at and ranks them by what you actually pay per unit.
What it does
• Marks the top 3 best values on the page, and shows the price per unit on every product, in the same unit
• Deducts coupons and multi-buy deals, which the shop's own unit price ignores, and adds listed shipping
• Computes the unit price from the title when the shop doesn't show one, including multipacks ("12 x 3.75 oz", "Pack of 6")
• Toilet paper per 100 sheets, whatever the shop says (per roll, per count, "mega rolls")
• Protein powders and bars per 100 g of protein; supplements per dose (per 10,000 IU, per 10 g of creatine)
• Warns when the shop's unit price contradicts the pack size in the title
• Sets aside products that don't match your search (the tuna in a "sardines" search), with minus words to exclude more ("sardines -dog")
• Optional: hide sponsored listings, set a minimum star rating, set a maximum pack size
• Remembers prices you've seen on this device and flags a pack that shrank or a price that went up
• Sorts the page by value in one click; reads the next result pages to find the best across all of them
It has no site-specific code: it recognises a product grid from the page structure, so it works on most online shops, including ones it has never seen. It stays silent on pages that aren't product lists.
Limits: protein and dose ranking use what the title says; a listing without protein per serving and number of servings is compared by weight.
Privacy: nothing leaves your browser. No account, no analytics, no server, no AI. Free, no ads, no affiliate links.
