Version 0.3.0
Released Oct 9, 2026 - 439.33 KBWorks with firefox 58.0 and laterUnloader 0.3.0 introduces a redesigned, cleaner dashboard and new estimated memory-savings insights.
What’s new:
• See estimated memory currently freed by unloaded tabs.
• View cumulative memory released and a seven-day activity trend.
• Browse tabs using normal page scrolling instead of a nested scrollbar.
• Load large tab lists in manageable batches.
• Use the larger, clearer Website Rules interface.
• Open your browser’s shortcut manager directly from Settings.
• See estimated memory information in the toolbar popup.
• Improved light, dark, and system themes.
• General accessibility, responsive-layout, and interface improvements.
Memory values are clearly labeled estimates. Browsers do not provide extensions with reliable live per-tab RAM readings, so Unloader uses a bundled static website catalog. All calculations and history remain on the user’s device.Source code released under All Rights Reserved
Version 0.2.0

Automatic unloading is enabled on fresh installs with a 15-minute idle timer. Existing settings are preserved. Change the timer or switch to manual in Website rules.
The background scheduler rebuilds its alarm when the browser starts. Keep awake rules and settings persist across restarts.
Eligible tabs stay in the tab bar while their page content is discarded. Active, pinned, audible, editing and media tabs remain protected from automatic unloading. Select an unloaded tab to reload it. Actual memory savings vary by browser and page.
Includes local website rules, manual unloading, Ctrl+Shift+U, recent activity and settings export/import. No account, analytics or remote collection.
