- Summary
Uzavik Vault for Firefox works without internet access, user accounts, servers or analytics. It does not collect or transmit personal data to Jivatu Technologies or to any third party. Everything it handles stays on your own computer. - Information handled on your device
The extension runs only when you invoke it: by clicking its toolbar icon, choosing its right-click menu item, or pressing its keyboard shortcut. When you do, it may handle: - the address of the tab you are viewing, to find logins saved for that site;
- the username and password of a login you choose to fill;
- the site name, username, password and notes of a login you choose to save or edit.
This information is exchanged only with the Uzavik Vault desktop application on the same computer, through Firefox native messaging. For that reason the extension declares "authentication information" in Firefox's data consent prompt. That information never leaves your device.
The extension never asks for, receives or handles your vault master passphrase. - Storage and retention
The extension does not store credentials or other personal data in extension storage, cookies, cache or other browser storage. Credentials are dropped as soon as the fill or save finishes. The only setting it remembers is your chosen colour theme, kept in this browser on this device. Your vault is stored by the Uzavik Vault desktop application, encrypted and bound to your VaultKey USB device. - Sharing
The extension does not share personal data with anyone. It uses no analytics, advertising, tracking, error reporting or remotely hosted code, and it makes no network requests. - Permissions
- activeTab: access to the tab you are viewing, only when you invoke the extension.
- scripting: find and fill the sign-in fields on that page.
- nativeMessaging: communicate with the Uzavik Vault desktop application on this computer.
- contextMenus: add "fill generated password" to the right-click menu on https pages.
The extension does not request access to all websites and runs no scripts on pages in the background. - Changes
Any change to this policy will be published on this listing and at https://uzavik.com/privacy.html. - Contact
