- Rated 4 out of 5by gavinbeatty, 8 months agoUnfortunately not working as of a few weeks ago (2024-05-07), selecting vertical mode overlays the chat on top of the video, making it unwatchable.

Feature request if possible: Have it use the player variant that theater mode uses so you can mouse over and see stream title/viewer count. Thanks - Rated 4 out of 5by Daniel, 8 months agoWhen it works, it's great, I have a veritcle second monitor that I read stuff on, and that's good to lurk streams on. Right now there's an issue where chat is alligning to the top of the window rather than the bottom, which covers the stream.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13724399, 9 months agoVery useful but has some issues worth mentioning. Seems to conflict with 7tv (tbf it's hard not to), @ mentions revert the chat box to (expanded) horizontal. Recently, I've had an issue where the chat box has to be expanded before the switch to vertical mode, otherwise it causes severe visual bugs. As far as I can tell, the mode toggle auto-collapses the chat box, so hitting it 4 times might be enough to reproduce this issue (pretty common issue with the 7tv issue). Hope that's helpful.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18248538, a year agoGreat extension! I would love to be able to hide the vertical bar of followed streams on the left though, that'd be perfect!
Edit : 24h after my review, Vertical Theatre was available. Not sure if it's a coincidence or not, but I love it! - Rated 5 out of 5by Jules, a year ago
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18166095, a year agoI like to put streams i watch on my vertical monitor, and this extension works flawlessly on Chrome.
Using this extension on Firefox causes the vertical mode to exit to default by itself if i click out of the window and clicking back into it. It's quite annoying because i nee to enter vertical mode each time i want to write to the streamer.
I'll give this extension 5 stars if this bug can be fixed. - Rated 5 out of 5by Clammbon, a year agoThanks for this extension, works great on my portrait monitor.
I also had problems with this extension stopping working and even after updating to 1.5 version it did not work. However, I was able to resolve the problem by switching my Twitch language to English. It seems the extension relies on Aria-labels that change based on the Twitch language setting, and it specifically references English values. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17907439, a year agoStopped working for me today also, and doesn't work even after 1.5 update :( I love this plugin, and I can't be without it.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Tsubaki, 2 years agoSimple, easy to use.
Would be cool to hide channel list, to have a vertical studio mode. - Rated 5 out of 5by Lawzer, 2 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by octulio, 2 years agoHonestly, i love the simple approach of this one, although there is ONE thing that would make it even better: make it hide the top banner and the suggested twitch channels on the left bar, and then it would be perfect. Basically, what "theater mode" does, but vertical.
- Rated 5 out of 5by JackyX5724, 2 years agoGreat extension, does exactly what I wanted. It would be even better if it worked in theatre mode and allowed you to swap the top/bottom places between stream and chat.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15200638, 2 years agoI'm so glad I found this add-on. The only complaint I have is that when I enter this view the side bar with my followed streamers is still on screen. Since I am already using a vertical screen, I want to maximize the real estate for the stream viewer. If this could be an option in the settings, that would be awesome!
- Rated 5 out of 5by Awasaky, 3 years agoI use portrait aligned monitor and this addon make twitch absolutely fit to it.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Juice, 3 years agoexactly what I was looking for.
Only a minor bug with the chat not fully stretching the width of the window, but still better than before. - Rated 4 out of 5by Janez, 4 years agoIt does what it says. However when sidebar is minimized, empty spot appears on the left side of chat.
Edit: After update i checked back in 23.5.2022. On vertical 1080p monitor there is still empty space on the left between hidden Twitch channels and actual chat window.Developer response
posted 3 years agoThis should be now fixed in latest update! Let me know if it's still buggy. - Rated 5 out of 5by bangoo, 4 years agoThis is perfectly minimal and does exactly what you want it to. It's as simple as an icon on the Twitch UI. Honestly I wish more add-ons were designed like this one.
