- Rated 1 out of 5by DONK, 9 years agoInstalled this in hopes to hide all those clickbait, vine compilation and other terrible channels I have no interest in but it ends up blocking everything on the main page and in searches about 40% of the time which makes this addon unusable.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Villnius, 9 years agoIt does do what it's intended to do. However, it isn't without problems.
The UI is rather clumsy, making you enter blocking criteria manually (recent update) and the default when you fire up the UI is "search" instead of "add." Seeing as you're more likely to add block criteria than search for them, this is strange.
It also has trouble blocking foreign characters and symbol characters. Even when you copy and paste, the blocking is hit and miss on a channel with those characters.
Since the update, it's been a huge resource hog, slowing down firefox quite frequently, and sometimes locking it up altogether. It shows a major security flaw in either the plug in or Firefox itself as a plug in should not have this much effect on Firefox. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12470675, 9 years agoThis add on was great. I experienced no bugs with it and it was simple to use, I see a channel I dislike on youtube and right click the video and simply blocked the whole channel. Now the list I have built up has been wiped and the aforementioned feature has been removed so now it is more time consuming to block channels. Please revert back to how the add-on used to function, this is terrible.

posted 9 years agoHi! I'm sorry the last update has caused some trouble, I have put a small explanation in the add-on description.
The right-click functionality has been improved again in version 5.2.4.
If you have an export of your list from the old version, you can import that file in version 5.2.4. If not, you can downgrade to version 2.0.1. to make an export first (your channels should still be there). - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12470302, 9 years agoAfter update everything went to sh*t.
- Old dumps don't load because of new data structure
- Channels now have to be added manually
- Icon in address bar now useless and i have one more cancerous icon on the right, wasting my precious space.
+ I like new UI though. ( Doesn't change the fact that now add-on is useless )Developer response

The old export files can be imported again in version 5.2.4 and the right-click functionality has been improved to make it work better. - Rated 1 out of 5by JohnSteve, 9 years agoAfter the last update i lost all my saved channels and keywords , this is a big loss , it took me almost a year to make my list , please do something , this is not how you gain trust of people , very bad

If you already have an export of the list from the old version, you can import that file in version 5.2.4.
If not, you can downgrade first to version 2.0.1 to make an export there (your old channels should still be there). Then you can import it again in version 5.2.4. - Rated 1 out of 5by RedPanda, 9 years agoThis addon went from a one right-click-left-click-and-forget on any channel link displayed on the web page to some "Go into the addon pannel through its icon somewhere in the browser and then type in the name of the channel you want and save it each time you want to blacklist a channel" thingy.
Why ? It was just so easy before, doing just what it was intended to, with convenience. Convenience, this is the key word. There are so, so many channels to blacklist on YouTube and we can say that most of us, if not all, just don't want to type in channels names into some setback sub-menu's box for each one.
Also this update brings its own blacklisting system onto the table, simply deleting what was already there, so we're left to start all over, blacklisting all the channels we already hid before.
Would have been a 5/5 since it was filling its task just right (with minor annoyances such as being unable to blacklist from some specific pages types like user profile I think), now it's just annoying. It can block channels, but having to go through such chores to do so on top of having the blacklist reset is a no-no.Developer response

The right click functionality has been improved in version 5.2.4 (although still not as smooth as in the Chrome version, as it is only just supported by Firefox).
Regarding the reset of the list: If you have an export of the list, you can import it again in version 5.2.4. If not, you can downgrade to version 2.0.1, to make an export first.
