Privacy Policy

Video Downloader for YT is operated by Alexey Dmitrievich Kolunin, a self-employed individual. Privacy and support requests: alex.kolunin@gmail.com.
The extension reads the current supported YouTube page and its video identifier to show available formats. The Windows companion uses yt-dlp to retrieve format information and save the selected file locally. Downloaded media is not uploaded to our cloud. Firefox extension storage keeps notification preferences, the current authentication session, and limited plan and usage state.
Supabase processes the email address, password-based authentication information, account identifier, session tokens, entitlement and credit balance, current video identifier, selected quality and media type, reservation time, and whether a download completed or failed. This data is used to authenticate users, enforce Free and Pro limits, return failed reservations, prevent duplicate grants, and secure the service. Passwords are sent directly to Supabase over HTTPS and are not visible to us in plain text.
When checkout is available, lava.top receives the account email, selected plan or credit pack, price, currency, checkout metadata, and payment status. Payment credentials are entered on lava.top or its payment provider's secure page and are not collected by the extension or our Supabase project.
Data is shared only with providers required to operate the product: Supabase for accounts and quota enforcement, lava.top and its payment providers for purchases, Mozilla for distribution, and YouTube/Google as the source page requested by the user. We do not sell personal data, build advertising profiles, or use the data for third-party advertising.
Account, entitlement, payment, and security records are retained only as long as reasonably needed to provide access, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, meet accounting or legal obligations, and defend legal claims. Network traffic to cloud providers uses HTTPS. Secret payment credentials are stored only as server-side secrets and are not packaged in the extension.
Users can disable notifications, sign out, cancel future subscription renewals through their lava.top purchase account, and request access, correction, or deletion of account data by email. Some records may be retained where legally required.
