Ant Video Downloader by ANT

by FaceMONKEY, 2 years agoDoes not work with YouTube. YouTube occasionally re-engineers its streams to thwart downloading. The makers of Ant Video Downloader have not updated their extension in some time, as if that is not a priority.

We have tested some random video from YouTube and all seems work fine for us.
Please try to clean your browser's cache, reinstall AVD extension and retry downloading.
If you still encounter any issues after this operations please contact to our support with more details: https://www.ant.com/support_form

I see that in both apps, the video is downloaded in segments, but in the latter the contrast between audio and video is very noticeable. On the other hand, in this one it gives a better result, but even so there is a small cut in the image at certain moments of the video. I have downloaded a 20-minute video in both apps, this one has a better performance but visualizing the result, I still think it needs to be fine-tuned a bit more.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Adamant777, 2 months agoIt works but a step by step tutorial on how to use it is completely needed. Even on the Ant Video Downloader official website they can do a good tutorial (a detailed one) they should do one.
How to use it?: You have to use Firefox (won't work on Librewolf), install the AVD native app on windows and then install the addon Ant Video Downloader on Firefox. Then go to settings of the addon and allow sending data to the native app cookies on privacy settings. After all that, open or refresh the website with the video and now you can find the video info in the addon icon, select the resolution and download it. - Rated 1 out of 5by Kunta Kinte, 2 months ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by xris, 4 months agoThe menus are very complicated to understand, why not make a simple button that you click to download in the highest possible definition ?
It's weird to torture your mind with so many useless options.
And on top of that, once you've passed the difficult stage of the menus, it doesn't work, it answers an incomprehensible error message. We even wonder if this module understands itself why it exists.
Only one possible punishment : self-destruction.
