VoltVault is a password generator browser extension. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Data Collection
VoltVault does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All data stays on your device.

Local Storage
VoltVault uses Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local) to save:

Your password history (up to 25 entries, auto-deleted after 15 days)
Your donation preference (whether you've chosen to hide the support section)
This data never leaves your browser and is not accessible to anyone else.

Password Generation
All passwords are generated entirely on your device using JavaScript. No network requests are made during password generation.

Third-Party Services
The extension contains an optional link to PayPal for voluntary donations. Clicking this link will open PayPal's website in a new tab, subject to PayPal's own privacy policy.

Permissions
VoltVault requests the following browser permissions:

clipboardWrite — To copy generated passwords to your clipboard
storage — To save your password history locally
