About this extension
Archive Now takes you to the archived copy of any page in one or two clicks:
★ One click on the toolbar button archives the current page on archive.today and opens the result (configurable: open the newest existing snapshot instead, or the newest Wayback Machine capture).
★ Right-click any page or link → "Open with Archive Now" → the newest snapshot.
★ Keyboard shortcuts: Alt+Shift+S (archive the page), Alt+Shift+A (newest snapshot).
★ Clean view: on snapshot pages, the archive.today toolbar, scroll ruler, and fixed-width frame are hidden so the archived page displays full width — while preserving the original page's own colors, layout, and typography. Same for the Wayback Machine toolbar. A small button restores the original view at any time.
★ Reader mode: re-renders the archived article with clean typography using Mozilla's Readability (the same engine as Firefox Reader View) — with White, Sepia, and Dark themes. Great when a snapshot's CSS is broken.
★ If archive.today has no snapshot of a page, a banner offers the Wayback Machine copy instead.
★ Mirror failover: archive.today's domains (archive.ph, .today, .is, .li, .md, .vn) come and go per region — "auto" mode pings them and uses the fastest one that responds.
No accounts, no tracking, no data collection. Settings sync via your Firefox account (storage.sync).
