- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 11247566, 7 years agoIt's a shame Firefox screwed up big time with the new add-ons system. It made this awesome plugin useless for me.
I don't and never will use Firefox 57 so i've crawled the internet and installed the 1.2.13 XPI and then blocked updates.
So 5 stars for the old one and 0 stars for Firefox 57 - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13445323, 7 years agoHello Chris, i'm so lost and disappointed with this new version :/ i use webdeveloper for many years and i loved it. This helped me in my job and also for teaching classes of webdesign for showing css element to my students. Where is the function "see the css of an element" that show the short css on click in one element, i can't find it anymore !? hope find it as soon as possible..
Edit : Chris, Thanks for your answer : i put 5 stars to the old extension webdev and i want to tell you lots of thanks for your good job, but only one star for the new one for the moment. So, to work with students, i blocked firefox update for the moment to stay with the old version and the old webdeveloper too !Developer response
posted 7 years agoThe ‘Display Style Information’ feature also had to be removed as Firefox removed the APIs that it was using. The best replacement for this feature is the CSS inspector built into the browser developer tools:

I've been using this add-on for YEARS! You guys took one of my favorite add-ons and removed stuff I use every day, made it slower to use, and for what? I can no longer disable the cache. I can't disable DNS cache. Can't disable javascript. So lame ....
You should have at least let there be an option so that I could use the toolbar if I wanted. This dropdown user interface you've got going is pathetic.Developer response
posted 7 years agoFirefox no longer allows extensions to create toolbars and removed the APIs that the extension was using for features like 'Disable Cache' and 'Disable JavaScript' so these features had to be removed from the extension. None of the changes made to the extension were by choice, but were enforced by Firefox changing their extension support. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13443632, 7 years agoI love that I can have a tool that I can just click and see the code etc from any website or webpage.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13442210, 7 years agoAnother great extension that pulled into trash. Less functions, e.g. the "Show CSS" function, functions only expendable over the icon not about a single line, etc.
One more thing to get away from Firefox. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13441628, 7 years agoWhat happened to the option to delete Cache, Cookies and History with just one click under "Misc"? Now it's much less intuitive and I have to access two or three different areas of the tool to completely clear my online footprint, please give me back that clear everything button it was essential to my workflow.
