About this extension
Web Insights for WhatPulse measures the time you spend on different websites and provides detailed productivity insights through your WhatPulse account.
How it works
This extension works alongside the WhatPulse desktop application (version 6.0 and above). It tracks which websites you visit and for how long, then sends this information to the WhatPulse app running on your computer. From there, you can view detailed statistics about your browsing habits, identify productivity patterns, and understand how you spend your time online.
Privacy first
Your privacy is our priority:
• Local connection only - The extension communicates exclusively with the WhatPulse app on your own computer (localhost). No data is sent directly to the internet.
• Domain-level tracking - We only record the domain name (e.g., "github.com"), never the full URL or page content.
• No browsing history - The extension doesn't store any browsing history.
• Private browsing respected - No data is collected in private browsing mode.
• You're in control - Pause tracking or disconnect at any time.
Features
• Automatic time tracking for websites
• Input activity measurement (keystrokes, clicks, scrolls)
• Integration with WhatPulse desktop statistics
• Visual connection status indicator
• Zero configuration after initial pairing
Requirements
• WhatPulse desktop application version 6.0 and above (whatpulse.org/downloads)
• One-time pairing approval
