About this extension
Website Blocker keeps distracting sites out of your way. Add an address once and it stays closed, together with its subdomains, or close only one section such as youtube.com/shorts. Free for up to 5,000 entries, with no account. Pro: $9.99 once, no subscription.
WHAT IT DOES
Type an address, click "Block this site" in the toolbar popup, or right-click any page or link. The visit is stopped before anything loads, so no code from there runs. Instead you see a calm screen with a back button. Need a few minutes? Pause for 5 to 60 minutes. When the time is up, everything on your list is closed again on its own, including tabs that are still open, without a reload.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Click the toolbar icon and press "Block this site", or type an address.
2. Add a path like reddit.com/r/all to stop only that part of a website.
3. Use the switch or a short pause when you really need it.
FREE
• Up to 5,000 domains, subdomains or paths, no account needed.
• One click from the popup or the right-click menu.
• A friendly screen with a back button instead of an error.
• Pause with automatic return, also in open tabs.
• A simple on and off switch.
PRO ($9.99, LIFETIME)
• Schedules: active only on the days and hours you choose.
• A password before entries are removed, a pause starts or settings change.
• Redirect to an address of your choice, for example your to-do list.
• Statistics of stopped visits per domain and day, kept on your computer.
• Allowlist mode: only the sites you allow can open.
PRIVACY AND HONEST LIMITS
Your list, schedule and statistics stay in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no account or cloud. The extension never reads what is on a page. The calm screen needs access to websites so stopped visits can be redirected; without it, the browser shows its own error message instead. Website Blocker works inside this browser profile only. Anyone with access to the computer can still turn it off on the extensions page, and the password protects the extension's own settings, not the browser itself. The only data sent anywhere is the email address you enter when you buy Pro, which is used to check your purchase.
