Privacy policy for X-Alted – Customize and enhance X (Twitter)
X-Alted has no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. We run no server that receives anything from the extension. Your settings stay in your browser (and in Firefox Sync, if you use it).
The only exception is the optional GIF and meme panel in X's post box, off after install. The first time you open it, Firefox asks whether X-Alted may send your searches to KLIPY, the GIF library the panel shows. If you allow it, KLIPY receives the words you search for and which GIF or meme you pick, and your IP address, as any website you load something from does. What KLIPY does with this is covered by KLIPY's privacy policy. Turn the setting off, or take the permission back in Firefox's add-on manager, and nothing more is sent.
