- Rated 5 out of 5by Save For Read Later, a year agoHello, great addon !!
however if you untick "Save Closed Tabs Between Browser Sessions" in the options page, saved pages still here when you close / restart Firefox.. - Rated 4 out of 5by eNdi, a year agoThis extension is similar to the Unclose@Dook extension, which has disappeared from the Firefox Add-ons page for unknown reasons. A few tweaks here and there and it will be a good replacement.
One problem: The extension does not recognize closed Firefox pages: about:newtab, about:crashes, moz-extension:// and others.
Edit1:I also believe that duplicates should be displayed because closed tabs may have a different page history associated with the tab.Developer response

Yes, I cannot save system pages because I use another mechanism other than other add-ons. It helps to avoid the default limits of 25 saved tabs. I'll continue investigating if there could be a way to improve it, but cannot have guarantees about it. - Rated 4 out of 5by Quisquose, a year agoThis extension has great potential.
On the plus side it has some very useful options (individually show/hide buttons, choose search field position, set theme options, set popup width etc.) but there are some significant problems too.
1. Closed tab menu items do not have any mouseover highlight (whereas all other buttons in the popup do). This is annoying. It makes the popup feel as if it's not responding (and it's also bad for vision impaired people).
2. Search field has no change on mouseover (e.g. border color change, or whatever). Also, the placeholder text does not disappear when you click into the search box to give it focus. The search box should be empty when it's clicked (to show that it's ready to accept user input).
3. If a tab is restored from the Firefox 'History' menu and then closed, that tab does not appear in the undo tab closed list. When this happened, it made me think that the extension was not working at all, but then I opened a new link (not from the History) and then when I closed that one it DID appear in the undo close tab list. This needs to be fixed so that ALL closed tabs are remembered.
4. Bad default settings. It defaults to no popup menu, so when I first installed it I thought that it could only open last tab and do nothing else, so I almost uninstalled because I did not see any of its other features. This was made worse because there is no 'Options' tab on the extension's own page (only 'Details' and 'Permissions') so it looks as if it doesn't have any options at all. However there ARE plenty of options, you just can't easily see them by default (until you change the settings). It would be better to show the popup by default (because it includes an option button that everyone can see) and then let people use the options button to turn off the popup if they want to.
The default icon is for the dark theme, so the icon is invisible in standard Firefox installs (because light theme is default). The 'System' option did not select the correct icon so it was invisible (white icon on white background), so I had to change the icon manually.
5. Right-click on a closed tab entry in the list immediately reopens that tab with no warning and then shows context menu at same time. Right-click is for context menu, not automatic actions. Only left click should restore tab. Right-click should show a limited context menu for tab restore actions only (not full context menu) and then add an extra menu entry to 'Remove item' from the undo close tab list (so that you can selectively delete individual entries instead of using the button at the bottom of the popup to clear all of them at once).
6. There needs to be a popup height setting (in addition to the existing width setting) so user can decide how many entries they want to see at once, and how much screen they want visible below the popup.
If these issue were fixed then this would be the best undo close tab extension available, because it has really useful options that no other undo close extensions have.Developer response
posted a year ago4. Added context lint to option pages, and I don't want to move options inside addon manager tab
6 I don't see why needs to add this property. The height of popup is calculated by browser api based on your vieport and there is no any reasond to make it smaller.
other should be fixed
