YouTube Audio Mode is committed to protecting your privacy. This extension does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal information.

Data Collection

We do NOT collect any personal data.

All extension data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API. Nothing is sent to external servers.

Information Stored Locally

The extension stores the following data on your device only:

• Audio mode ON/OFF preference
• Theme and appearance settings (background type, colors, custom images)
• Usage statistics (data saved, listening time, active time)
• Daily usage logs for statistical purposes

This data never leaves your computer.

Permissions Explained

To save your preferences and statistics locally on your device.

activeTab

To detect when you're on a YouTube video page and allow the extension to work.

scripting

To inject content scripts that control video quality and create the audio visualizer overlay.

host_permissions (youtube.com)

To access and modify YouTube video pages only. The extension does not work on any other websites.

Third-Party Services

This extension does NOT:

• Send data to external servers
• Use analytics or tracking services
• Share information with third parties
• Display advertisements
• Collect personally identifiable information
• Track your browsing history
• Access your Google account

Data Security

All data is stored locally using Chrome's encrypted storage API. Your statistics and preferences remain private and secure on your device.
