Make YouTube easier to browse with controls for Shorts, sponsored cards, games, and topic shelves.

YouTube Cleaner lets you choose which supported content types to hide on YouTube. Regular video cards stay visible.

FEATURES
• Hide Shorts shelves, Shorts cards, and the Shorts navigation entry.
• Open Shorts links in the standard YouTube video player when Shorts filtering is enabled.
• Hide sponsored and promoted cards on supported pages.
• Hide YouTube Playables and game recommendation shelves while keeping regular gaming videos.
• Hide “Browse more topics” shelves while keeping category chips and regular videos.
• Choose where filtering runs: Home, watch pages, search results, and subscriptions.
• Preview filtered items with a dashed outline using “Show filtered content.”
• Turn filtering on or off from the toolbar popup.
• Choose an interface theme and language: English, Simplified Chinese, or Traditional Chinese.
• Export and import settings using a local JSON backup, or restore defaults.

GET STARTED
1. Install the extension and open YouTube.
2. Open the extension popup from your browser toolbar.
3. Choose the filters and pages you want to use.
4. Open full settings to change the theme, language, or backup settings.

PRIVACY
Filtering runs locally in your browser. Preferences and filtering counts are stored on your device. The extension does not upload page content or settings and does not include analytics or advertising trackers. No extension account is required.

SCOPE
“Ads” means sponsored and promoted page cards. This extension does not promise to block video playback ads or remove every regular video recommendation. It does not download videos. Results depend on YouTube’s page layout and the content currently available.
