Privacy Policy — YouTube Feed Control

YouTube Feed Control is a browser extension that runs entirely on your device. The developer does not collect, store, sell, or transmit any personal information about you.

What the extension stores
Your feature settings and preferences are stored locally in your browser (using the browser's storage.local). They never leave your device except through your browser's own sync, if you have that enabled.
If you choose to use the optional card-tags feature, the YouTube Data API key you paste is stored locally on your device only. It is never sent to the developer.
Data sent to third parties (only to power optional features)

Some optional features send data directly from your browser to third-party services. The developer does not operate these services and does not receive any of this data:

Return YouTube Dislike (returnyoutubedislikeapi.com) — when the like/dislike ratio feature is on, the extension sends the identifier of a video in your feed to retrieve its public like/dislike counts. See that service's own privacy policy for how it handles requests.
YouTube Data API v3 (googleapis.com) — only if you provide your own API key, the extension sends public video identifiers to Google to fetch public tags and category information. This is governed by Google's privacy policy and your own API key terms.
YouTube public endpoints (youtube.com) — the neutral (signed-out) search and home features request non-personalized results from YouTube's public endpoints.
What the extension does NOT do
It does not collect analytics or telemetry.
It does not track your browsing.
It does not send any data to the developer.
It does not sell or share personal data with anyone.
Permissions

The extension requests only the storage permission, used to save your settings locally.
