YouTube Indifference creates a random anonymous ID when installed. It is not linked to your name, email, Google or YouTube account. If browser sync is on, the ID is also kept in your browser's sync storage so it survives reinstalls.

When you open a YouTube video, the extension sends that video's ID and your anonymous ID to its server to fetch the Indifferent count. These lookups are not stored. When you press or un-press Indifferent, it sends the video ID, your anonymous ID and your vote. The server stores one record per vote (video ID, anonymous ID, time); un-pressing deletes it.

Only total counts per video are published. Anonymous IDs are never published. No cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking. Data is never sold or shared. The server runs on Cloudflare; Cloudflare processes IP addresses to deliver requests, but the extension's server does not store them.
