Extension Metadata
About this extension
Remaps the media previous/next track keys (F7/F9) to seek 5 seconds backward/forward on
YouTube videos instead of skipping between playlist items.
Works globally on macOS, so you can control YouTube playback from any app (like Ableton,
Logic, etc.) without switching focus. Useful when following along with tutorials or long-form
content.
How it works: Intercepts YouTube's Media Session API handler registrations at page load. Zero
ongoing overhead — no polling, no observers. Only has access to youtube.com.
