About this extension

If you find the GIFs in YouTube's comments distracting (or just don't like them), this add-on removes them. YouTube probably won't listen to complaints anyway, so here's a client-side fix.

• Hides GIFs in comments and replies: videos, Shorts and mobile YouTube
• Optional "GIF hidden · Show" placeholder to reveal a single GIF with a click
• Optional: hide the GIF button in the comment box
• Everything can be toggled from the toolbar button

Note: images attached to comments are hidden too, since YouTube is rolling those out alongside GIFs.

No data collected, no tracking. Your settings stay in your browser.

Found a GIF that slipped through, or something hidden by mistake? Please report it through the support website (GitHub issues). The "Report a problem" link in the add-on's menu fills in your browser details for you. Feedback is welcome!
