Works super well and there's basically no setup required!

I like the concept of this and I like that it works BUT it also lags livechats massively to the point where the entire tab will freeze for either several seconds or crash outright. I narrowed it down to this extension after extensive testing. I was having laggy chat issues for months and blamed YouTube.... until I had a tab crash and it told me it was this extension. Then I disabled it and haven't had any lag since. Turned it back on? Laggy chat again.

edit: how are we supposed to reply on this platform? lol. It's usually fine for a bit but gets laggier over time. Sometimes it's under an hour, sometimes it takes more than hour. But the chat lag persists until browser restart - closing the tab doesn't stop it. It's like something gets stuck doing something.

This is one of the best quality of life addons I've ever used. Thank you so much for making my youtube experience less miserable. I'm recommending your work whenever somebody complains about translations or subtitels. Top!

Easily one of the best QoL extensions. BUT: As of ~2 weeks ago (review date: feb 27 2026), this extension freezes the youtube tab completely forever, until its closed and re-opened. Stopping or disabling the extension does not fix it, only fully removing it does.

Can't even believe YouTube doesn't have this option natively just to keep you as much as possible in their website with there stupid AI translated tittles, I'm glad this extension exits and most of all it WORKS!

If you consume content in different languages you definitely need this ASAP , though it sucks to relay in a extension for some basic a$$ feature that should've been built-in in the first place smh.

A really usefull addon. Finaly the seemingly german youtube videos wich then suprise me with english language are history.

Really just doing things that youtube should be perfectly capable of doing themselves, and quite cleanly too. Great work on it.

This is necessary for YouTube, the localization is a big issue because you can't even disable it officially, although it's a good feature for those who don't understand specific languages.

One of the few things that does what it says on the tin, nothing more and nothing less. And this is definitely one of the essentials for having YouTube be usable!
