About this extension
YouTube Shorts Info Panel
YouTube Shorts doesn't show when a video was uploaded, and hides most of the details you'd see on a normal video. This extension adds a small floating panel beside the Short that shows them, so you can see how recent and how popular it is without leaving the Shorts player.
FEATURES
- Original upload date and time (in your local timezone)
- Age of the Short ("2 days ago", "5 hours ago", "just now" etc.)
- View count and like count
- Channel name (links to the channel) and subscriber count
- Video length
- Full description, including hashtags and line breaks
- Updates automatically as you scroll between Shorts
- Drag the panel anywhere, resize it, collapse it, or switch to "Basic" mode for just the essentials
PRIVACY
- No tracking, analytics, ads or accounts
- Does not collect, store or sell any personal data
- Makes no requests to any server except youtube.com
- Only reads publicly available information that YouTube already publishes for each video
- Runs entirely in your browser
NOTES
- Likes and subscriber counts depend on what YouTube exposes for a given video. If a channel hides its subscriber count, or YouTube changes its page layout, those fields may show "n/a".
- Some Shorts (age-restricted or special formats) may not expose all details.
- Lightweight and unobtrusive. It only runs on YouTube.
FEEDBACK
Found a bug or have an idea? Reach out at M0zi114sync@proton.me. If a field shows "n/a" on a particular Short, send the link and I'll look into it.
