posted 7 months agoThanks for using the extension.
Regarding your questions. I’m not planning to add support for alternative frontends such as Invidious at this time.
As a solo developer, my focus has been and still is on building a solid foundation for the extension before considering open-sourcing it. Rest assured, I'm actively considering the best approach for making the project open-source in the future. - Rated 5 out of 5by RZ302, 10 months agoGreat addon for rating YouTube videos in more detail about their quality. More users would be nice ig, but that's hard to influence as a developer. Maybe the stars should be to the left next to the video title instead of below it tho. On videos which's title isn't weirdly long there's a lot of free space to the right of the title and star rating which could instead be used to show the start of the video description at the bottom of the page. Also make this available for Firefox for Android please.

posted 10 months agoThanks for your feedback. I'll take your comments into consideration. - Rated 3 out of 5by Nobody, a year agoI like the idea of this add-on, but because of a such small user base, I don't know if I should trust it.
Permissions:
"Access your data for a specific (youtube) site:
The extension could read the content of any web pages you visit at the specified website, as well as any DATA YOU ENTER INTO THOSE WEB PAGES, such as usernames and PASSWORDS."
I don't want that you steal my youtube/google password and I'm not a programmer, so I can't check the code of the add-on. Maybe I'm just to paranoid, but I will probably wait for bigger user base and more reviews before I start using it. Will give it 3 stars for now.Developer response
posted a year agoHi!
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and concerns about the add-on. I appreciate your feedback and want to address the specific permissions you've highlighted.
The mentioned permission is indeed necessary for the add-on to function as intended. It allows it to add stars to videos based on user preferences. However, I agree that it is a bit broad.
I want to assure you that my primary goal is to enhance your experience without compromising your security.
I do have a plan to open-source this add-on, but I just haven't found the time yet to do it.
Best regards

- Rated 5 out of 5by Thomas, 2 years agoWas very good, but Youtube updated and now the add-on isn't working anymore for now. I don't know if it is a Me problem or an actual problem though. EDIT: Just tried the extension combined with the Youtube Redux extension, and it is functionnal on the old design of Redux. EDIT2: Thanks Dev!!!

YouTube actually used to have this system and it was perfect. Then one day some manager wanted to create some busy work, and they introduced a basic idiotic like/dislike system which told you a lot less about the video at a glance.
Fast forward a few years and they decide that we can't even have that! So now we have to watch blindly, never knowing if a video is worth our time or not. This extension solves that problem perfectly. It just needs more users!
Thank you for making this, I never got over them removing the 5 star rating system back in 2009. I really hope this catches on.
