Most features are individually toggleable from the extension popup, so you decide exactly what gets changed and what stays the same.

📅 Shorts Publish Dates and Channel
Ever wondered how old a Short actually is? Or who published it at first glance? YouTube hides upload dates and channels on Shorts cards. YouTube Tuner fetches and displays them inline next to the view count — across your home feed, subscriptions, search results, channel pages, and anywhere else Shorts appear.

🔇 Mute Home, Subscriptions & Search
Tired of videos autoplaying with sound while you're just browsing? YouTube Tuner silences audio on the home page, subscriptions feed, and search results — so you can scroll in peace. Audio works normally on watch pages and playlists. If you have a video playing in the miniplayer, it stays audible.

⏹ Auto-dismiss "Continue Watching?" Prompts
YouTube pauses playlists and asks "Video paused. Continue watching?" — YouTube Tuner dismisses this automatically and invisibly, so your playlist never stops.

🔀 Redirect Shorts to Normal Videos
Click any Short and it opens as a regular watch page instead — with the full player, proper controls, and no vertical feed. Toggleable if you prefer Shorts as-is.

⏸ Auto-pause on Open
Optionally start every video paused so you can read the description, check comments, or just decide if you want to watch before it starts playing.

🔊 Volume Boost
Take full control of per-video audio levels with a 0–300% volume slider, accessible directly from the extension popup. Useful for quiet videos, or for bringing the volume down below YouTube's own minimum. The slider resets automatically when you open a new video, so adjustments never carry over where you don't want them. Toggleable, and off by default.
