Youtube Ultimate Distraction Killer by wikiman

YouTube Ultimate Doomscroll Killer is a super cool, lightweight, and open-source (GPL) extension that makes YouTube less distracting, allowing you to finally talk to your parents, go outside, and enjoy life.

What it can do:
* Shorts: Hide the Shorts button, block Shorts shelves in feeds and search, and redirect Shorts URLs to the standard video player.
* Feed: Hide the home feed entirely, apply a duration filter to skip short videos, filter by keywords/channels, and limit the maximum number of videos displayed to stop infinite scrolling.
* Clickbait: Remove emojis and excessive punctuation from titles, force lowercase, and replace attention-grabbing thumbnails with generic video frames.
* Focus Tools: Enable a "Focus Mode" timer with aggressive blocking, track your daily screen time with a draggable overlay, and use pre-configured presets (Distracted, Normal, Creative, Monk).
* Appearance: Toggle greyscale for all media, remove UI animations, and force sharp corners on every element.
* Navigation: Redirect the homepage to your subscriptions, watch later, or history when you open YouTube.

What it cannot do:
* Block Ads (uBlock Origin is here for that)
* Better theatre mode (Go check the Bigtube extension)
* Collect your data (100% local, no tracking)
* Remind you that optimising isn't the same thing as doing the big things
* Fix your sleep schedule (-40% of your cognitive capacities)
* Find you a girlfriend
