Best youtube downloader of all the similar extensions...it can choose the highest revolution version and download it.

Quick Download button does not work like it used to be after Firefox Quantum update. It doesn't download 1080p anymore. It doesn't download m4a audio files either. Very frustrating to see such nice apps go bad. I had to switch to a stand-alone downloader software.

I wanted a simple downloader compatible with DASH that did not rely on 3rd party websites and/or PRO payments to do its work. I already had FFmpeg, so this was fairly easy for me to set up. Once set up, in two clicks I can get correctly muxed DASH videos in my download folder. Maybe if you don't know what nodeJS or FFmpeg are it sounds scary to install? Firefox runs a batch file, the batch file executes nodeJS, which executes FFmpeg.

A download button in the YouTube player page would have been preferable(but susceptible to Google messing up the layout), but the standard addon button isn't terrible.

Great for dl videos, songs and audiobooks in different qualities. Best on the marked ♥

I download the audio portion of videos. With the old app this was simple, as it downloaded the mp3 along with the mp4 with just a couple of clicks. Now I get just a video file and the process it extract the audio is beyond me.

Hopefully this app can be improved to make it as simple as the old one.

Very good Add-on

I understand this is the revival (by another developer) of the original extension, which no longer works on the new FF add-on platform.

I was quite happy to find it, as this was one of my most useful extensions. And when I ran it, the interface looked the same. But it didn't work. Then I found out I had to install another program _and_ a codecs package. Well, thanks anyway, but I'll just copy YT links to one of the online converters... It's simpler, and seems safer.
