Extension Metadata
About this extension
Keeps YouTube Music playback at a consistent loudness by reading loudness metadata from the page and applying real-time gain correction with the Web Audio API. Choose from Balanced, Loud, Aggressive, or Quiet presets, or set a custom target between -60 dB and -7 dB. You can enable or disable normalization instantly, and changes from the options page are applied live.
When YouTube Music’s nerd stats panel is visible, the extension adds its own rows showing extension status, post-YouTube loudness, target loudness, and the gain currently being applied. The add-on runs only on music.youtube.com.
Note: You may need to reload or restart YouTube Music after installing the extension or after major playback changes for the normalization to take effect properly.
