Urgent fix. On some machines, clicking a contact in the chat list only marked the row and did not open the conversation. Reloading the page sometimes helped, sometimes not.

Cause: an internal protection around ZapVox's own buttons identified "our elements" by a CSS class prefix, and one of our classes is applied to the page . Depending on the order the class landed in the attribute, the check matched the body — and therefore every element on the page — so the protection ended up swallowing WhatsApp's own pointer events.

Fixed: and are never treated as ours. The guard can now only ever block less, never more. Covered by unit tests that reproduce the exact class ordering, plus a check that loads the built extension in a real browser and verifies the full pointer sequence still reaches the page.

Also in this release: the first-run consent dialog on WhatsApp Web now follows the extension's language instead of always appearing in Portuguese.

First-run tutorial. Right after ZapVox is switched on, a small dismissible card appears in the centre of WhatsApp Web explaining how to keep the extension icon within reach. The instructions adapt to the browser you are using: on Firefox the card points to the Extensions button, then the gear next to ZapVox, then "Pin to Toolbar".

The card appears once. It closes with the X, one of the buttons, a click outside, or the Esc key, and never blocks the page. You can reopen it any time from the (?) button at the top of the ZapVox panel — closing it never costs you the tutorial.

Also in this release: the setup steps on the welcome page now follow your browser instead of always describing Chrome.

Search improvements: group audio now shows the phone number of the person who spoke; contacts who only appear in groups are recognised; invisible text-direction marks that WhatsApp stores in some names no longer render as "?"; the conversation icon now reflects what the card actually holds and updates when identification arrives. Transcription reliability: the audio download request now uses the argument shape current WhatsApp builds require, and a request interrupted by the service worker being suspended is retried instead of hanging.

Fixes a defect introduced the previous night where the transcription request could loop inside the extension and never reach the server. Also adds: a network timeout so a hanging connection turns into a proper error, automatic resend when Chrome shuts down the extension worker mid-transcription (only in that case), and a shorter per-audio queue ceiling. Search improvements: contact names now come from your own address book first; duplicate result cards for the same person are merged; conversations without any name show the phone number.

Your scheduled message goes out once: if you use ZapVox on more than one computer with the same account, the server now decides which one sends each scheduled message, and the others don't repeat it.

Search in the side panel now shows who each conversation is TODAY: rename a contact on your phone and the new name appears here. Click the contact name — or the phone chip beside it — to copy the number, with instant feedback; groups have no number and copy nothing. Each conversation is now labelled Contact or Group. Also: the button that opens the side panel works again, and the "extension updated" notice now tells you plainly to press F5 instead of offering a button.

What's new since 3.10.63:

• ZapVox buttons inside WhatsApp now respond only to ZapVox. Clicking translate translates, instead of WhatsApp's message info panel opening over it.
• The translation language list now offers more than 100 target languages, up from 18.
• With "copy translation" enabled, the translation is always included in the copied text.
• Transcript search: a renamed contact no longer appears twice, and opening a chat from a result works on WhatsApp Business accounts.
• If a feature ever misbehaves, it can now be paused remotely within hours instead of waiting for a new store version.
• In the contact panel, the title shows the contact's number and one click copies it, in any WhatsApp interface language.

• Translation now offers more than 100 target languages, up from 18. Thai, Greek, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Bengali, Czech, Romanian, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian and many others are now selectable.
• Clicking the translate button before transcribing now translates, instead of opening WhatsApp's own message-info panel.
• With "copy translation" enabled, the translation is now always included in the copied text.
• Transcript search: opening a chat from a search result now works on WhatsApp Business accounts, and scrolls to the message even in chats that were not opened yet in the current session.
• Transcript search is available on the free plan and starts collapsed, keeping the first screen lighter.
• Found messages are highlighted briefly so they are easy to spot in a long chat.
• In the contact panel, the title shows the contact's number and one click copies it.
• Auto-send works again when the WhatsApp tab is in the background.
• Uninstall feedback now offers clearer options in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

A deleted schedule stays deleted: ZapVox now also clears the schedule's contents when you delete it, so it does not come back on another device or after reinstalling.

Each scheduled time now goes out once, and only once. A record of what already went out is kept outside the schedule itself, so a copy arriving from another device — or after reinstalling the extension — no longer repeats the message. Before sending, ZapVox also checks whether the message box ended up with the text repeated, and starts clean if it did.

Clicking a phone number on WhatsApp Web copies it — and now it also works when the number is written inside a sentence. The popup switches (privacy blur, click-to-copy phone, side-panel button) save on the first click. Message history shows what each entry actually was instead of a dash.

Fixes a Firefox-specific startup failure.

Version 3.10.18 called chrome.runtime.onMessageExternal at the top of the background module. That API does not exist in Firefox, so the background script threw immediately and the extension did not start at all on this browser. It is now behind a feature check.

The site-to-extension referral bridge is intentionally inactive on Firefox as a result. Everything else works as on other browsers.
