Video Transcript and Metadata: To create a summary, the extension sends the text transcript, title, and URL of the active YouTube video to the Google Gemini API. This data is sent securely and is processed by Google to generate the summary text. We do not store this information on our servers. User Settings (Stored Locally): The extension uses your browser's local storage (storage.local) to save your preferred settings, such as the desired summary language and style. This information is stored only on your computer and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

Usage Counter (Stored Locally): The extension keeps a local count of the number of summaries generated. This counter is stored only on your computer and is used solely to periodically suggest supporting the project. This data is never transmitted or shared.
