Old Reddit Plus (previously Old Reddit Card View) is an opinionated overhaul of old.reddit.com that keeps it fast and familiar.
Inline media — images, galleries (with thumbnails), Reddit video, GIFs, YouTube, redgifs, Streamable, Imgur and crossposts expand right in the listing and in comments, with uniform card sizing and no layout jumps. On mobile, videos show a thumbnail and play on tap.
Videos got no sound due to a JavaScript limitation. You don't need sound for Reddit videos; if you really want it, open the post. It's a feature, not a bug.
Keyword filter — hide posts by word or phrase, entered as tidy chips. Whole-word matching (so "ice" won't hide "police"), paste a whole list at once, and it syncs across your Firefox profiles. Choose to remove matches outright or collapse them to a click-to-show line.
Themes — a clean Dark mode and a faithful Hacker News theme, plus the standard light look. Adjustable title size and card dimensions.
Reader view — open external links in a built-in, distraction-free reader with font, size and theme controls. Most websites are just images and text; honestly, you don't need all the junk.
Better commenting — a "comment in new reddit" link sits right under the box for when you want rich formatting or to upload a GIF or image.
Cleaner Reddit — load images directly (no Reddit viewer frame), a rebuilt /about page, an optional redirect to old.reddit.com, a tidied-up mobile layout, and toggles to hide rank numbers, thumbnails, the "get new Reddit" prompt and more.
Everything is optional in Preferences. Runs entirely in your browser and collects no data.
