Was amazing, but it freezes everything up now. Has been broken for months

The last couple of updates have been trash. Explain to me why this addon is causing freezes on pages I have it turned off for?

This extension slows down firefox quite a lot for something thats just supposed to change the background color of a website. Used to be so nice to have but now it's just getting ridiculous. no im not waiting 30 seconds each time i want to click a link. Do better.

I'm sure this has been repeated over and over again, but the newest update (4.9.99) has slowed down my browser immensely. It's a nuisance and the experience is horrible. I can't even count the amount of times I've experienced this because it's far too many! I hope to see a fix soon.

It cost money. I can belive that so many users use this addon if you can just look in the websites setting for 1 min. Bad product. 1/5 :(

Since the new version, YouTube and kick keep freezing or don't load at all.

Is it fixed? I keep getting crashes, and I can't click or move anything. I'll return the 5-star rating if it's fixed.

Completely breaks Firefox and Firefox even tells me that the extension is slowing down my browser. It makes websites completely unusable for a few minutes each time a page loads.. Please fix this.

used for a long time, has had performance issues over its lifespan but for ~month or so the performance is horrendous. causes most big-name websites (reddit, youtube, google) to completely seize up and load extremely slow, currently making this add-on completely unusable. i will edit the review if this gets fixed but currently this just straight up breaks your browser

Websites load slower than far too slow. And after updates performance seems to even get worse over time instead of better. This add-on is 110% unusable.

Slows down websites where dark mode is already enabled, detects darkmode enables it anyway on top of dark mode causing memory leaks to.

Gave them benefit of the doubt for the past month, but still no fix in sight for the massive performance issues on sites like Reddit & YT, none of the filtering methods work to stop the extension from using up to 32gb of ram suddenly.
Stuck using it since there's no real good alternative.

recently make Firefox slow down

There was a recent update or something because this Add-on is making my Firefox super slow. I feel like for some reason there seems to be a memory leak because Firefox is using soo much RAM when Dark Reader is enabled. Task manager is telling me my RAM, 16GB, is almost maxed with only firefox and a couple tabs. There has to be a bug or something, I get a popup from Firefox asking me if I want to disable the addon because it is making the browser super slow. I have to disable it until this gets fixed. I love it when it works, but not right now

The add-on seems to be causing extreme slowdowns in Firefox. Whenever I open a new website, it slows down for over 5 seconds while Firefox displays a message of it being caused by "Dark Reader".
