关于此扩展
A Town Named Otherwise is an offline living-grammar simulation. Each ordinance is a controlled sentence, and every editable word is an active rule in the town's model. Nouns identify civic systems such as the town, river, gardens, and tower. Verbs transfer resources and social effects. Adjectives modify the intensity and cost of a clause. Conjunctions behave like control flow: "and" applies both clauses, "but" weakens the second clause and costs trust, "unless" waits for a crisis condition, and "therefore" amplifies or diminishes a consequence based on whether the first clause succeeded.
Click a colored word to open its vocabulary and spend one punctuation mark to replace it. Enact the revised ordinance to advance a day. The town then updates population, river health, food, trust, fear, industry, and tower power; residents, buildings, gardens, water, and civic word-particles respond on the illustrated canvas. The pronoun "it" resolves to the previously named subject, so even reference order matters.
Each scenario supplies six editing marks, a deadline, and a mandate that must be made true through repeated observation and revision. Grow the town without wounding the river, build prosperity without empowering the tower, or create a careful band of fear without cruelty. Resources continue to be consumed between enactments, so a sentence that looks beneficial in isolation may be unstable over several days.
The first release contains three ordinances with different starting sentences, resource pressures, deadlines, and goal combinations. Unlocked ordinances and best civic scores are saved locally through localStorage. The simulation is self-contained and includes no account, server, advertisements, analytics, purchases, remote code, or network access.
