Academia Co-Scientist puts an AI research assistant in your Firefox sidebar, connected to your Academia.edu account.

What it does
- Chat about any web page you're reading - ask for summaries, explanations, or critiques without leaving the page
- Works inside Google Docs and Slides: select text in your draft and discuss or refine it with the assistant
- Connects what you read to your research on Academia.edu

How it works
- The sidebar embeds the Co-Scientist app from academia.edu. The extension shares the current page's address, title, your selected text, and (when you ask it to read a page) the page's article content with the assistant, so it can answer questions in context. Optionally, Co-Scientist can remember pages you spend time reading, building a personal research trail the assistant can draw on. This can be turned off at any time in the extension's settings.

- A free Academia.edu account - sign in from the sidebar on first use.
